I'm an Associate Professor of Philosophy at Howard University. I spend most of my time thinking about legal punishment, racial justice, Hegel's political philosophy, and Wittgenstein's later work.

I earned a PhD in philosophy from the University of Pittsburgh, under the supervision of Robert Brandom. I also hold an M.A. in philosophy from Tufts University

Prior to studying philosophy, I earned a B.A. in political science from Howard University, and a J.D. from Harvard Law School.
